For three years we've been saying the analog tube market is overcharged. Not because of the hardware — because of the dealer stack that delivers it. Dealer networks, ITAR overhead, hand-select premiums, contract margin.
So we did the obvious thing. Sourced the same Gen-2+ tubes (autogated, 1250+ FOM, no blems). Built them into milspec PVS-14 housings. Packed the G24 mount and J-arm in the box at no extra cost. $1,454.95. Direct.

We're new in this tier.
Here's why that's not a problem.
Just launched. No reviews on this product yet. Here's the actual basis for trusting us on a $2,295 purchase.
Three years operating. Same domestic team, logistics, and email-reply-within-one-business-day support that ships our digital line. 5,000+ public reviews on our other products. Same support team handles every analog order.
Every unit ships with its own printed factory QC spec sheet documenting that tube's measured values. Other brands don't.
Other brands hide tube specs and let you find out after the unit arrives. We publish them: Gen-2+, autogated, 1250+ FOM, brand new, no blems, milspec housing. If those numbers don't match your use case, this isn't the right tier for you. We'd rather you know up front.
If the unit isn't what we said it is, send it back inside 30 days. Defective unit: full refund or replacement. Personal-preference return: 30% restocking fee. The full policy is in the FAQ. We tell you the restocking-fee number up front so it doesn't surprise you later.
Night Operators PVS-14 vs
the premium dealer market.
Premium PVS-14 setups cost $4,000–$7,000+ through traditional night vision dealers. Same milspec housing. Same autogated tube class. We're direct from the supply chain. Here's how the four tiers compare — housing, view, and price.
Prices based on public retailer listings checked May 2026. Specs and pricing vary by tube grade, FOM, and availability.

Premium dealer PVS-14s can cost $4K–$7K+. Night Operators gets you into real analog night vision for $1,454.95.
Premium dealer pricing usually buys you a Gen 3 tube + the dealer-stack overhead. We sell a Gen 2+ autogated tube without the overhead. For the 90% of civilian use cases — property awareness, training, mil-sim, hunting, scouting — Gen 2+ autogated does the job. You're paying for hardware you'll actually use, not distribution markup. Comparison specs vary by tube generation, FOM rating, and phosphor type. Verify current premium dealer prices on opticsplanet.com, bhphotovideo.com, and tnvc.com.

You're the buyer who already knew the analog tube market was overcharging. You did the homework. You compared the dealer prices. You saw what AGM and ATN charge for entry-tier units and what TNVC and L3Harris charge for the real thing. You knew the spec sheet didn't justify the gap. We built this for you.
What the dealer markup
actually pays for.
AGM PVS-14 NW2: $2,795. Ours: $1,454.95. Comparable Gen-2+ tube class. The $500 gap isn't quality — it's distribution. Here's where it actually goes.

The price isn't a typo. The price is what removing three layers of distribution looks like. There is no upsell waiting at checkout, no tube-quality compromise, no catch.
Gen 2+ vs Gen 3 —
same woods, different tubes.
Gen 3 autogated is the technical gold standard — and it costs $4,500 to $7,000+ from a real Gen 3 dealer. Our Gen 2+ tube is the tier below it on paper. Here's what that paper difference actually looks like in the field — same outdoor scene, same conditions, both tubes side by side. You decide if the spec gap matters for what you'll use it for.

Night Operators PVS-14, Gen 2+ autogated, 1250+ FOM, white phosphor. Same outdoor scene as the right image, photographed minutes apart. Detail in the log, ground, and tree line is usable for navigation, observation, and predator spotting at the ranges most civilian buyers actually use night vision.

L3Harris / Elbit Gen 3 white phosphor, the autogated military-grade tier. Same outdoor scene. Cleaner gain, slightly sharper resolution, longer detection range in extreme low ambient. The hardware is real. So is the dealer-network markup that makes the price what it is.
We're not trying to be Gen 3. If your application genuinely needs Gen 3 — professional zero-ambient work in zero-ambient conditions — buy a Gen 3 from a real Gen 3 dealer. We built our PVS-14 for the buyer who looked at the spec gap, looked at the price gap, and decided real-world Gen 2+ at $1,454.95 is the honest deal. Both tubes are real. Different tiers, different prices, different jobs.
What analog buyers use the
Night Operators PVS-14 for.
Four common analog setups. Pick the one that matches what you're building.

Helmet shroud, G24 mount, J-arm, milspec PVS-14 form factor. Same setup the military uses. The reason buyers in this tier specifically want a real analog tube and not a digital alternative.

Helicopter hog-control operators, ag pilots, and night-rated civilian pilots running passive flight and aerial predator/hog management. Real Gen 2+ analog gain with no screen glow in the cockpit, no IR torch giveaway, and the milspec PVS-14 platform the crews already train on — at a price that doesn't gate the whole crew out of being equipped.

Our Heat thermal monocular bridges directly with the Night Operators PVS-14. Build the analog NV + thermal fusion setup that commercial $8,000+ kits sell. See section 06 for the bundled SKU at $2,249.95.

You've decided you want analog for monitoring your land at night. A real tube. Real low-light gain, no screen, no battery anxiety, no IR torch giveaway. Built for all-night sessions.

Here's when the PVS-14 makes sense.
Honest disqualification.
Don't waste your money — read this first.
Don't buy this if you need Gen-3 autogated white phosphor for professional zero-ambient work. The Night Operators PVS-14 is Gen-2+. If your application requires Gen-3 specs, buy a Gen-3 from a real Gen-3 dealer.
Don't buy this if you need 1600+ FOM premium-tier specs. We're 1250+ FOM. That's mainstream Gen-2+ tier, not premium tier. Be honest about what FOM range your use case actually needs.
Don't buy this if you need it by Friday. It can take 4 weeks for your order to arrive from the day you place it. There is no rush option.
Buy this if you want the recognizable PVS-14 form factor and a real Gen-2+ autogated analog tube without paying the $4K–$6K+ premium dealer markup that the rest of the analog market charges.

Plain English.
Standalone PVS-14 monocular, the complete PVS-14 + thermal bridge, or the PVS-31 PRO dual-tube binocular. Pick one — then add the optional helmet if you need it.
Buyers who want the analog tube, period. You either already own thermal or don't need it.

Try it for 30 days. If it isn't what we said it is, send it back.
Every Night Operators PVS-14 and PVS-14 + Heat Bridge ships with a 30-day return window. If the unit arrives defective, we replace it or refund you in full. If it works exactly as described and you simply changed your mind, you can still send it back inside 30 days — a 30% restocking fee applies on personal-preference returns. Every order also comes with our 1-year hardware warranty against manufacturing defects. We don't promise a no-questions refund because we'd rather be honest about the policy than surprise you with it after the fact. The full return and warranty terms are in the FAQ below.
— The Night Operators Team
Why your PVS-14 takes 3–4 weeks.
Every Night Operators PVS-14 is bench-tested by a human before it ships — tube verified, blems checked, spec sheet confirmed, mount and J-arm packed. We don't drop-ship. Smaller analog batches mean the QC bench is intentionally a bottleneck. If 3–4 weeks is a deal-breaker, we understand. If you can wait, you get a tube a human verified before it left the building.
Questions buyers ask before
ordering the Night Operators PVS-14.

Yes. Here's the factory QC spec sheet that ships with every unit. Gen-2+ image-intensifier tube, autogated, 1250+ FOM, no blems, brand new. Same hardware class as AGM PVS-14 NW2 and ATN PVS14-2. Real analog night vision, not digital. Milspec PVS-14 housing, standard form factor.
Yes. Every Night Operators PVS-14 ships with an autogated tube. Autogating means the tube can handle bright light flashes (headlights, room lights, flashlights) without permanent damage and with minimal blooming. It's the table-stakes Gen-2+ feature in 2026 — and other entry-tier brands at this price point quietly ship without it. We don't.
Both use the same Gen-2+ autogated tube (1250+ FOM, no blems) — the difference is the housing only. STANDARD is the classic milspec PVS-14 form factor: cylindrical aluminum body, 40° FOV, the recognizable shape buyers know, fully tested with all standard PVS-14 accessories (Wilcox/Norotos/Ops-Core shrouds, J-arm dovetails, sacrificial windows, eyecups). PRO is our refined custom housing: more compact rectangular form, 50° FOV (+10° wider field of view), lighter weight, slightly smaller footprint. PRO uses the same tube, the same J-arm dovetail interface, and works with the same standard PVS-14 accessories. The PRO housing actually costs us slightly less to source — we pass that saving on as a $35 upcharge instead of pricing PRO at premium-tier markups. Most buyers choose PRO. Pick STANDARD if you want the classic recognizable form factor or have specific accessory setups you want zero risk on.
Direct supply chain. Premium dealers (TNVC, NVD, Steele, OpticsPlanet listings, retail storefronts) layer on dealer margin, regional rep margin, hand-select tube premiums, inventory financing, and brick-and-mortar overhead. We source the tubes ourselves, build the units, and sell direct to the buyer. Same hardware tier as the Gen 2+ autogated units the dealer market sells in the $4K–$6K range. The middleman stack is what's gone.
1250+ FOM. Squarely in the AGM PVS-14 NW2 / ATN PVS14-2 / Steele PVS-14 entry tier. We publish this number because the spec matters and other brands often don't. If you want premium-tier specs (1600+ FOM Gen-2+ or Gen-3 autogated), you'll need to look at the $3,500+ tier. Different conversation.
Yes. Standard milspec PVS-14 form factor — same J-arm dovetail interface and helmet shroud compatibility as every standard PVS-14 in the market. Drops into your existing setup.
No. It's an L4 G24-pattern mount. Functions identically with all standard helmet shrouds. The J-arm is a standard PVS-14 dovetail. We tell you they're pattern-compatible, not branded — because they are.
1-year hardware warranty against defects. 30-day return window if the unit isn't what you expected. 30% restocking fee on returns initiated for personal preference — full policy on our returns page. Defective units are full-refunded or replaced.
